The three
centrally
heated cottages are part of an C16th
barn conversion, originally the old barn for the farm just up the
lane. They are set back from the lane and all have views over
the fields opposite and right down the valley. The cottages
also look down to the River Ceiriog and up to the craggy rocks of
the hills on the other side of the valley.
The area is a haven for wildlife -
the cottages are visited by a
large number of wild birds throughout the day. There is a
resident owl who lives in our woods next to the cottages who can be
heard softly hooting just about every night.
The cottages are ideal for lone
travellers, couples and/or families looking for a quiet, peaceful holiday away
from it all and the cottages have been graded in the past by The Wales
Tourist Board and were awarded Three Stars. Please read
about our rating.
There is plenty of space in the
cottages' gardens to sit and, with the sound of the River Ceiriog in
the background, watch the birds and landscapes by day and the stars,
bats and owls by night. Erw Gerrig Cottage has it's own,
fenced garden while Valley View Cottage and Spring Cottage share an
open unfenced garden.

Erw Gerrig Cottage - sleeps up to five in two
bedrooms (plus cot if required).
Erw Gerrig Cottage is a very spacious cottage and has two bedrooms, one with a
double bed and the other with a two bunk beds and a single and
has a wealth of character with it's beamed ceilings and wood burning
fire.
Both rooms have stunning views over the river and down The Ceiriog
Valley.
The double bed is on the balcony
above the sitting room so on winter evenings you can see the fire in
the wood burner from the bed and watch the shadows flicker on the
vaulted ceiling. The double bed is also under a skylight
window, so you can watch the stars at night while you lie in bed! There is a fully equipped
bathroom, with a bath and a shower over, with all towels provided if required.
Downstairs, there is a large,
double height
living room (17 feet high to the vaulted, beamed ceiling) with comfortable sofas and a full sized television (Sky
Freeview) and a wood burner for those snug evenings in front
of an open fire (logs available). The kitchen/dining room is fully equipped with a
cooker, microwave,
fridge/freezer, dish washer, crockery and all other utensils. There is
parking to the rear with low level lighting for ease
of access at night time. The cottage has it's own private and
fenced front garden.
Please note: the layout of the
cottage is very interesting and it has two staircases. Access
to the bathroom from the double bedroom is either through a half
height door and then through the other bedroom, or via the ground
floor.

Valley View Cottage is a
large, very spacious cottage and has two bedrooms, one with twin
beds and the other with a comfortable King Sized bed and a single bed.
Both rooms have stunning views over the river and down The Ceiriog
Valley. There is a fully equipped
shower room, with all towels provided if required.
Downstairs, there is a large
living room with comfortable sofas and a full sized television (Sky
Freeview). The kitchen/dining room is fully equipped with a
cooker, microwave,
fridge/freezer, crockery and all other utensils. There is
parking to the rear with low level lighting for ease
of access at night time.

Spring Cottage - sleeps two/three in
one bedroom (plus cot if required).
Spring Cottage is a smaller,
more snug cottage, ideal for a couple, maybe with a child, with one bedroom sleeping two/three in a
double bed and a single futon. The bedroom also has stunning
views over the river and down The Ceiriog Valley. There is a fully
equipped
shower room, with all towels provided if required. Please
note: when the futon is used as a bed, it does reduce the available floor
space.
Downstairs, there is a sitting
room/kitchen. The living area has comfortable sofas and full sized television
(Sky Freeview), the kitchen area is fully equipped with a cooker,
microwave, fridge/freezer, crockery and all other utensils. There is
parking to the rear with low level lighting for ease of access
at night time.

Erw Gerrig Spring Water.
The water at Erw Gerrig Country
Cottages is fed from our very own spring which rises in our paddock above the cottages. The water tastes fantastic and is
free from all the additives which are pumped into mains water,
chlorine and fluoride for example. Our water is totally pure -
it is regularly tested by the local council and always passes their
strict regulations.
